The 2011 MassKara Queen 10 finalists were presented to the press/ media and ABS-CBN Bacolod Clients at L'Fisher Hotel Bacolod last September 5, 2011.

The MQ2011 candidates introduced themselves and Medias who were present were given the opportunity to ask each lovely lady questions about themselves and the pageant.



One asked about how they will use or spend the cash prize, most of them answered that they'll give it to their parents, to give back what their mother/father or both have sacrificed for them. They'll use it also to help finance and continue their education because some of them stopped schooling due to financial difficulties.



Another question also was... since the theme of this year's (2011) MassKara Festival is celebrating the new icons of Bacolod, what is the new icon for them that best describes Bacolod City. Most of them answered that it's the New Government Center (NGC) because it stands for power and a symbol of dedication of the government officials to serve Bacolod and the Negrenses. They said also that it shows and stand witness to the growth of the city from a small town to a progressive one. Some also answered the San Sebastian Cathedral as icon for Bacoleños devotion of faith where both rich and poor meets as one. Another was of course the L'Fisher (Chalet) as new icon as it symbolizes the creativity and ingenuity of Bacoleños.

How to Get There:



From Manila, you can fly to Bacolod (Php2500++, round trip, 45 minutes). From Bacolod-Silay Airport, you can take a shuttle (Php75-100 per head), or a cab and ask to be dropped off to your hotel - L'Fisher Hotel.



You can also go to Bacolod via ferry (estimated cost of Php2700++ with meal, round trip, 20-22 hours) from Manila.
