The Convent of Divine Mercy, more popularly known as Pink Sisters, is one of the most visited Catholic monasteries in Tagaytay. In this church you will find nuns dressed in, well, pink kneeling in front of the altar during mass or silently reading churchgoers' petitions 24/7.
The place is very solemn. Visitors are requested to remain silent, especially inside the church. Cellphones and cameras must be turned off, too. If you’re planning to visit the Pink Sisters to make a special prayer intention or simply for sightseeing purposes, here are the directions:
1. From SLEX, take Santa Rosa exit and turn right after the toll gate.
2. Go straaaaaaaaaaight ahead until you reach the dead end facing Taal Lake and you see Tagaytay Econo Hotel right in front then turn right again.
3. When you reach the junction, turn right once more.
4. After roughly half a kilometer, you should see the signboard for The Pink Sisters’ Convent at the right side of the road so turn right again when you see that.
5. Turn left at the end of the road (before the gate leading to the Holy Spirit Retreat House) and good luck finding a parking slot when there’s a mass being held.
If you’re not a religious person, don’t worry, there are plenty of other things to see and buy in the area. Check out my blog entry on the 5 things you can buy in the area close to the Pink Sisters’ Convent.
