1. Go church-hopping.
Being one of the provinces that best preserved our Spanish heritage, Ilocos has no shortage of old churches and bell towers. This doesn’t mean though that you’ll get bored of seeing one church after another because each one has its own unique beauty.
2. Visit the Kapurpurawan Rock Formations.
Easily my favorite part of our entire Ilocos weekend getaway!
Make sure you take the path behind the actual rock formations to get a much closer view.
3. Learn all about Marcos.
Ilocos Norte is practically Marcos county, with one of its municipalities actually named Marcos. Visit Malacanang Ti Amianan and the Marcos Mausoleum in Batac to see how much admiration most Ilocanos have for the former president and his family.
4. Buy souvenirs and delicacies from Calle Crisologo.
5. Take jump shots near the Bangui Windmils.
