Biri is a 5th class municipality in the province of Northern Samar. The island is home to the two of the most beautiful unusual rock formations in the Philippines. On its shore facing the San Bernardino Strait, you will be able to see Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon.
A fragment of land between the sea that divides the Luzon and Visayas Islands group, the island has been tattered by harsh winds and tides that allowed these magnificent formations to take shape. Pictured here are the formations named as Magasang and Bil-at.
A picturesque view of the pacific coast and waves smashing in the rocky bottom will leave you breath taking. A master piece carved for thousands of years, unveiled right in front of us. The waves are about 4-6 feet, crashing on the rocky formations at the shore. Swells are coming by, that’s why foreigners, mostly Australians, bought properties in this island for them to enjoy life, not waiting on a crowded line up.
If you enjoy quiet beaches then Biri Island will definitely not disappoint you, they are gorgeous and you will find yourself on your own, that’s right no hassles from vendors trying to sell you something, which has to be worth the trip.
