One of the latest beach resorts along the eastern coast of Leyte is the Tadyaw Beach Resort and Spa in Brgy. Tangahas, Tolosa Leyte. It sits on more than a hectare of land and has abundance of open spaces which can accommodate big groups. Tadyaw has a nice landscape with a good quality of coconut trees for shade. Aside from tents, cottages and a pavilion for day picnics can be found inside the resort.
What is charming about the place is the omnipresent tadjao all over the place. The gigantic tadjao that greets the visitor near the entrance is just marvelous to miss. The resort also has a manmade lake where ducks swim around, while a floating cottage is anchored nearby.
Compared to other beaches in nearby towns, Tadjao is clean, with a competent staff that is always willing to assits you. Tadyaw is just 45-minute drive from Tacloban City. With an entrance fee of Php 50 per head, with options to rent a tent (Php 700), or a cottage (Php 1,500) for the day. There is also a videoke machine which the barkada or the family can rent for a mere Php 800 per day.
The resort really is something else with a promise of possibilities.
