A TWO DAY AND ONE NIGHT SPENT at the Gunhuban Falls of Brgy. Buli, Bato, Leyte was one of my unforgettable summer escapades that I experienced in my whole life. At first, I was under the impression that it’s going to take me a lifetime experience that I wont forget. And yes! It was realized!

During my stay I was able to experience a different environment, which was more than up to par with my expectations. A single nipa-hut cottage where you can take your snacks, lunch and dinner with your whole family and friends, it was simple enough to feel like home. But the first thing that really grabbed my attention was the stunning and striking beauty of the place. It was one of the most powerful forces of nature that I have ever experienced. The roaring sound and the mist of the great falls was awe inspiring. It was pleasing

to the eyes! It was a perfect paradise for unwinding and relaxing. I would say this is definitely a place for families and friends. However, I dare say sports enthusiasts especially swimmers might be pleasantly surprised to the place that suits to any active inclination.

After a full day of diving and swimming on the falls, me and my companions have enjoyed the fantastic view of the place while lounging on the hut, eating yummy chips and sipping fresh fruit juice. Overall, the place is worth getting into a long drive- out to escape the frenzied pace of the city and take a blissful moment contemplating the beauty of unpolluted nature.
