as PHRS brings you the 2nd Boracay Beach Volleyball Open!

Philippine Hotel Reservations Service is thrilled to present the 2nd PHRS Boracay Beach Volleyball Open on November 16-18, 2012. It is the largest beach volleyball event in the Philippines and is open to anyone who loves to play volleyball under the sun.

In association with Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Progressive Volleyball Center (PVC), Philippine Beach Volleyball Association (PBVA) and the Province of Aklan, the tournament is open to both recreational and competitive volleyball enthusiasts and will feature the Philippine Beach Volleyball Association (PBVA) National Championship. Experience this fun and exciting game and celebrate the pristine white sand beach that Boracay offers.

PHRS fully supports sustainable tourism efforts in Boracay and therefore, it is their aim to promote a healthy lifestyle through friendly and competitive games with the least environmental impact on the island.

According to Lila Rosenberger, CEO and co-founder of PHRS, "Promoting an active lifestyle would bring us a more positive outlook in life. Tourism on the other hand should not be considered merely as a business venture and a job-generating industry, it must be an instrument in promoting the importance of environmental awareness."

The tournament will be in front of Summerplace and Le Soleil at Station 2 with fun-filled activities and games lined up for visitors throughout the 3-day event.  Play hard by day and party even harder at night during the Players’ Party at the famous Summerplace Boracay. Registration Fee for each player is Php 500 which aside from tournament entry includes one player’s shirt, one free dinner and cocktail drinks for the party. Cash prizes, travel vouchers and other goodies are in store for the winners and participants.
