"Bring a pasalubong!" That's what we always hear from a friend or someone close whenever they know we're going somewhere.



There are no particular items that Boracay sells. Numerous shops sell different products like beach hats, clothing, bags and beachwear. You can also see a lot of shell products in Boracay. You can buy anklets, bracelets, key chains, ref magnets etc. along the beach. It is made by the locals and already a source of living by most of them.



Most visited shopping spots in Boracay:
• Plazoleta Shopping Plaza
• D'Mall Shopping Center
• D'Talipapa Market



The Plazoleta is also a place where you can buy souvenir items like home decors. It is famous for the local's arts and crafts.



In D'Mall, from what's it called, it really is like a mall. You can find boutiques, tiny shops that sell variety of wears, clothes, accessories that ranges from expensive to affordable prices. You can also find restaurants that serves different cuisines may it be Italian, Mexican, Thai, Korean, Greek, Asian, European, Western and Filipino style foods. You can also find an ATM machine here.



D'Talipapa Market is the main shopping area of the island. This is where you will find cheaper or more affordable products. It's like a Divisoria version of D'Mall where you can haggle for the price of the item you want to buy. Inside D'Talipapa, you'll find D'Market (a wet market) where you can buy fresh seafoods and you can have it cooked at a store nearby (called dampa) in a certain fee- if you like seafood, this is the best place to enjoy it because of its affordable price.



TIP: Always keep in mind that when making purchases for your pasalubong or souvenir items learn to haggle for a lower price. Usually the items offered by the vendors are 20-30% higher than the price they can give.




How to Get to Boracay



From Manila, you can fly to Caticlan Airport (estimated cost of Php9200++, round trip, 45-50 minutes). From the Caticlan Airport, a van ride will only take you 5 minutes going to the Caticlan Jetty Port. A pumpboat ride from the Caticlan port to Boracay port will take at about 15 minutes.
