If I will be ask of an object as a symbol during the war, it would be the bolo. The bolo is called an iták or sundáng in Tagalog while in Hiligaynon, the blade is referred to as either a binangon or a talibong.
Bolos are used as a weapon of the Filipinos during the 1898 Philippine Revolution, the Philippine-American War, and the Commonwealth period. Upto this time, Filipinos are still using this blade for cutting woods.
Most of the quality bolos are made by Batanggaños and Boholanos.
