The world has a fair share of determined runners, casual runners and those who hate the thought of running. But it also has a significant proportion of people who just want to do something to help.
Research shows that exercise is beneficial and running is a great endurance activity to keep you fit and healthy.
With the initiative of a group called I love Tacloban, a run for a cause was taken into action-the LingkuRun. LingkuRun is a fund raising activity to provide chairs for Tacloban City’s public schools.
Many Taclobanons showed their support in that event. Being a participant I can say that indeed it was worthwhile! We may not be rewarded as first but what a victory it is to participate in an activity that save the future of the young ones.
Now is the challenge, if you are not a runner yet, starting to run is a great way to exercise and stay healthy. Running can work as a great way to stay healthy and by participating in a run for a cause I’m sure it will become more meaningful.
