Generals can now enjoy home-made pasta served with a variety of sauces. Café Verona of the Hotel San Marco in General Santos City treated this writer to its house favorite, the Pasta Supreme.

Straight from its kitchen, the hotel’s chef prepares your Pasta Supreme by using pasta made in the premises from wheat flour.   I did not get to witness the process of making the pasta but it tasted good and cooked al dente.

Fresh milk, butter, garlic and a sprinkling of thyme and oregano makes up the sauce. Mixed with chicken slivers, mushrooms and bacon, the sauce makes you want to tread more noodles into your fork and stuff into your mouth.

If I were not allergic to chicken and other poultry, the Pasta Supreme would have been gone in minutes.  But with allergies or none, it was worth every bite.

I’ll sample the Spaghetti Bolognese next time.

So when you’re in General Santos City and the craving for pasta dishes strikes, drop by at the Café Verona of Hotel San Marco in Laurel East Avenue, across Bayantel, General Santos City.
