My childhood days wouldn’t be complete without this sweet merienda treat. I don’t know if some of you have already tried eating this one but I’m pretty sure you’ll like it.



Monggo as we all know is a vegetable usually served on our table during meal time. But did you know that you can also make a sweet course using this monggo beans? Yes, these small green monggo beans can also satisfy your sweet tooth. Surprising, isn’t it?



I am not sure of the name of this recipe but I’d like to call it Sweetened Monggo. My father would often prepare this sweet course as our afternoon snacks. Sweetened Monggo is a very simple recipe and will not take a lot of time and efforts to prepare.

Ingredients:



1 small can evaporated milk



¼ kilo monggo



1 cup white sugar






Procedure:



1.    Boil monggo until cooked.



2.   Let it cool down.



3.   Transfer the boiled monggo into a bowl.



4.   Put sugar and milk.



5.   Then serve.






Enjoy your sweetened monggo!
