Pasuquin is one of the 22 towns in Ilocos Norte and a 45-minute drive from the capital of Laoag City. The province has a long, gorgeous coats and is known for its great beaches (Pagudpud), coral reefs (Davila is noted for this), and the different colors and sizes of pebbles (found in Caroang).
Pasuquin is known for its salt products, but now putting the town on tourist maps is its famous Biscocho.
It comes in two different but tasty variety. If you want to have it over coffee in the morning, you must try the "Toasted Biscocho" but if you prefer to slather it with you favorite jams, well I suggest you purchase the "Soft Biscocho".
Pasuquin Biscocho or locally known as "biskotso" and is widely popular not only in the town but also as a must-have souvenir for visitors. It has a distinct taste and scent, much better than cinnamon.
In Pasuquin there is only one bakery who creates this tasty and toasty pastry, the "Pasuquin Bakery" which is found just off the National Highway. Ask the locals, everyone knows where it is!
