Other than the usual Pako salad, try Pako, Tuna and Egg Delight.
Here’s how to do it. Boil egg in a pot. When water is boiling, place the steamer on top of the eggs and steam the pako (fern fronds) just enough to cook it. Its best when its still crunchy.
Remove the steamed pako, and arrange in a plate. Let the eggs cook first before removing from the pot then immerse in cold water. The eggshell is easier to remove when placed in cold water.
Unshell egg and slice.
Heat a small pan in low fire. Don’t pour oil. Heat the corned tuna. Then put on top of the pako bed. Put sliced boiled eggs on top.
If you can’t find Pako in the market, camote tops would do.
