All throughout the islands of the Philippines, Filipinos have prepared this dish in different ways using various vegetables.  The most common vegetables are squash strips, string beans, chayote, carrots and gabi.  Some may add cabbage strips or bean sprouts (toge).



Sari-Sari is sautéed various vegetables with a little meat or no meat at all. If you want to add meat, you can have the choice of ground pork, beef, shrimps or fish.



It is very easy to cook.



Just pour a minimum amount of oil in a pan, then sauté onions and garlic.  Add the meat, soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste.  When meat is cooked, add water. Let simmer.  When it boils, add the vegetables.  Remove from fire when the vegetables are cooked.



Not only do you have an easy to cook dish but a healthy one at that.
