Roxas City and the Province of Capiz will celebrate the Sinadya Sa Halaran Festival this December 6-8, 2012. Organizers announced that the festival will be 3-days only instead of the usual weeklong celebration. The yearly extravaganza will be observed in a simple manner which will focus more on the role of Virgin Mary on the life of Capiceños.
The three-day festival will be spearheaded by the city government, provincial government and the Catholic Church.
The Festival theme is "Magkinasadya sa paghalad kag pagtuo upod kay Birhen Maria" while the Parish theme is "Maria Ganhaan sang Pagtuo."

Before the two festivals merged, "Halaran" used to be celebrated every October while "Sinadya" was celebrated every December 8.
"Sinadya sa Halaran", means "joy in offering" is celebrated every first weekend of December. It is celebrated for both cultural and religious reasons. It boasts of colorful events such as the fluvial parade, lighted river floaters, grand parade of festival, seafood festival and grand pyrotechnic display.
