The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist's 7th Negros Island Organic Festival is set on November 22-27, 2012 with the theme: "Celebrating the Gains of Organic Agriculture: Mainstreaming Opportunities of Fair Trade". It will be held at the Bacolod City Capitol grounds.

The 3-day event will have different activities such as song writing completion, slogan making contest, native games, lectures, organic food cooking contest, indigenous people's band competition, lectures, song writing competition, fun run, walk, bike and dance activity.

The festival is brought to you by the Provincial Government in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Negros Island Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development Foundation and Organik na Negros!, and the Organic Producers and Retailers Association. Also involved in the project are the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental, the Department of Education and the Provincial Veterinarian's Office of Negros Occidental, the press release said.
