"MsoNormal">Seven provinces from all over the Philippines showcased their theatricality and painted Angeles City’s night sky at the 1st SM CITY CLARK PYRO FEST COMPETITION. The provinces of Bacolod, Bulacan, Cebu, General Santos, Laguna, Rizal and the City of Oroquieta each presented a seven minute firework and music show to the delight of thousands of Angelenos and tourists from all over the country.
In time for the last day of the KULIAT FESTIVAL of Angeles City held last October 28, the Pyro Musical competition is a fitting conclusion to the month long fiesta.
The crowd is in a celebrative mood as they cheered for the competing provinces vying to be the first winner of this grand event. People flocked at the parking lot of the mall and filled the streets, hopping at the back of their cars just to watch the seamless firework and music presentations.
In a surprising win, the province of Taytay, Rizal won the title against the well known firework capital of the Philippines, Bulacan. Taytay’s fireworks blended perfectly with the music of Filipino-American Bruno Mars and the iconic song “Ghostbusters”. They took home the 200,000php cash price and the title of being the first to win the 1st SM CITY CLARK PYRO FEST COMPETITION.
This showcase of artistry and the Filipinos’ innate love for vibrant colors and precision was evident in the recently concluded Pyro Fest Competition. It is a testament that the Philippines is at par with top firework makers around the globe.
