On October 7, the Roman Catholic Church celebrates the yearly feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Known for several centuries by the alternate title of “Our Lady of Victory,” the feast day takes place in honor of a 16th century naval victory which secured Europe against Turkish invasion. Pope St. Pius V attributed the victory to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was invoked on the day of the battle through a campaign to pray the Rosary throughout Europe.
These festivity is always observed during the month of October in honor of the Most Holy Rosay wherein people do the rosary prayer. Not only on this month but also everyday. Saying the rosary is believed to be another way of communicating to our Lord Jesus Christ. Every Catholic is believed to know the mysteries in the rosary where it was said to tell the story or the passion of our Jesus Christ.
It is said to that every month of February, the rosary is also observed because February is also the month for Our Lady of Lourdes where the Virgin mary showed to the three girls in France with in hand of the Virgin a rosary.
