Children dressed in Angel costumes of various kind is a sight to behold at the Angel Festival in San Rafael, Bulacan. In honor of the town’s patron saint Saint Raphael (to whom the town was named after) and the six Archangels, this event is a thanksgiving and a showcase of the locals’ good citizenship and good character.
Street dances and interpretative dance competitions are the highlight of this festival. Elementary and high school students clad in Angel outfits gives out performances to the delight of the crowd.
Celebrated every September 29, the Angel Festival is a celebration of the locals’ angel like characteristics and serves as inspiration to tourists and visitors that are witness to the event.
How to get there:
From Manila: There are plenty of buses going to San Rafael, Bulacan along Edsa. There are frequent buses at bus stops in SM North Edsa. There are also FX taxis and vans offering a ride to Bulacan.
