Jeepney has always been the main mode of transportation for the people in the Philippines. Anywhere you go, there are jeepneys. People from different walks of life make use of this transportation vehicle. However, the entitled "king of the road" has been somewhat overshadowed by the emergence of the new modes of transportation.

A three-day festival for jeepneys was conducted at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City and was started on September 20 until September 22, 2012. This is the first time that that kind of festival was conducted here in the country.

The festivity was entitled, "Jeepney Arts Festival" which aims to revive the lost art of jeepney, to retain its title as the "king of the road" and also to use as a vehicle in order to boost and promote the Philippine Tourism. Jeepneys were painted with different outstanding, unique, and funky designs that reflect the beauty of the Philippines. Different artists gave their own amazing designs that made all the witnesses wowed.
