"Life is FUN in Kabankalan!" as what Kabankalanons always say. The City will be having another colorful and fun-filled celebration.
The Udyakan sa Kabankalan is usually celebrated between July 27 to August 2. The festival is the main attraction and highlight of Kabankalan City Charter Day in Negros Occidental.
The dance parade is participated by different schools around the city. It is a yearly dance festival that reflects the mirthful and playful spirits of Kabankalanons. The revelry will be held at the plaza, and anyone who wants to witness the festivities can join and celebrate as it is free admission.
This July 30 to August 2, 2012, Kabankalan City will be celebrating its 15th Udyakan Festival and Charter anniversary.

Udyakan sa Kabankalan is a pre-Sinulog (another festival) presentation of the city's history, culture and development through songs, dances and drama. Kabankalan's Charter Anniversay is a weeklong celebration, an agro-industrial fair showcase the indigenous products of the farmers and cooperatives. Creative booths constructed by the different barangay at the City Plaza display these products.
How to Get There
From Manila, you can fly to Bacolod (Php2500++, round trip, 45 minutes). From Bacolod-Silay Airport, you can take a shuttle (Php75-100 per head), or hail a cab and asked to be taken to the Bacolod North Bus Terminal.
Kabankalan City is strategically located in the southern part of the Negros Occidental province. The city can be reached in less than 2-hours away from Bacolod City.
