From the word “Parayaw” which means to show off, to brag in the Waray-waray language, Tacloban.
As part of the upcoming fiesta celebration in Tacloban, in Honor of Sto. Nino de Tacloban, the city Government of Tacloban, in cooperation with the Big Boss Daddy Production, organized this month-long celebration treat for everyone! FOR FREE!!
People from different ages come to watch the nightly shows. It is not just the Taclobanons who benefit from this free treat, but also guests from other places. Everyone is very much welcome to join this big party celebration every night at the Parayawan Park, located at the Magsaysay Blvd., Tacloban City.
Bands from different places are being featured every night. Local bands from around the Philippines play their best hits. These bands are not just, as what they call “pucho-pucho” bands, but great musicians.
While being entertained with their great music, chicken and pork on a stick barbecue paired with puso (a rice wrapped in coconut leaves which is steamed, some called it hanging rice) and cold drinks are being served. There are a lot of bbq stalls to choose from. You should really try it there! It’s worth visiting!!
Enjoy the night with the Taclobanons and you will see how people in Tacloban show what they got!! Rock on!
