Zambales is known for its pristine beaches and beautiful islands, but it is most loved for its mangoes. In 1995, mangoes grown in Zambales are cited by the Guinness Book of World Records as the sweetest mango in the world.
As a way of promoting and giving thanks for a good harvest, the people of Zambales annually celebrates the Mango Festival. In its 13th year, Zambales Mango Festival hopes to promote their delicious mangoes and inspire local growers to develop competitive mango products Filipinos could be proud of.
The festivities will start on April 20-22 in Iba, Zambales, where the beautiful waters of Zambales can also be enjoyed.
From the Mango Eating Challenge to various competitions, this festival is definitely something to be enjoyed. Fun filled activities are set to entertain the locals and the tourists that are in town to witness the event. Other highlights will be the Street Parade, Float Competition, Mango themed Street Dance, Trade Fair and Variety Show.
