Pahimis is a coffee festival of thanksgiving by the farmers as they gave away his last can of harvest. It’s a traditional offering made by the farmers for their bountiful harvest.
Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan who is the committee chairman of Agriculture and Food Committee and Secretary Proceso J. Alcala of the Department of Agriculture will be the guest of honor and speaker.




Provincial officials led by Governor Jonvic Remulla and Amadeo Mayor Benjarde Villanueva will lead the formal opening of the festival where a grand parade and street dance awaits the visitors. It will be followed by the opening of trade fair and exhibits, performances of street dancers and cultural show in the afternoon onwards.
 
On the second day, the office of the Provincial Governor in cooperation with the local government and Capstone Systems, Incorporated, a private company will be sponsoring the Takbo Para sa Kapihan. After the fun run, a coffee tree planting activity, seminar on coffee quality refresher course, a coffee farm tour, thanksgiving mass, and a music and variety show will cap the last day of festivities.
 
This year celebration with the theme: “Pahimis, Atin Ito” will highlight the awarding of the most coffee farmer
 
It is an annual celebration aimed to promote the town’s coffee industry and support the local tree growers and at the same time, for domestic and global consumption to enhance coffee yields and restore the interest of farmers in coffee farming.
