Once a year, when durian is in season and its price drops, Tagum City celebrates the Durian Festival.  This year, its going to be from September 9 to 25 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. 

There will be durian cracking and eating, cocktail competition, best durian fruit competition, best float competition, food baskets in the barangays, chef's relay, competitions in coffee blending, durian kakanin, durian pie, durian main dish, durian plated dessert and seminars on disease management of durian.

Its going to be one durian feast for the followers of durianburg, so don't you dare miss this festival!
